Sensual Spices heat up the night
The Spice Girls R ready & randy 2 tantalize the Capitol

by Timothy Tilghman

It was Ladies Night out at the Verizon Center on Thursday, February 21, 2008. The infamous Spice Girls brought their world reunion tour to the Capitol for an evening of funk and frolic. Daughters, sisters, mothers and feminine friends were all howling their lungs out in a display of solidarity.

Baby Spice (Emma Bunton), Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell fka Sexy Spice), Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham), Scary Spice (Melanie Brown) & Sporty Spice (Melanie Chisholm) have now all aged a decade since their tight little glam unit burst upon the global stage. The gals strutted across an incredibly elaborate stage that enhanced their choreographed performance. Girl Power was in the house, and the audience roar was at times almost deafening.
