The Rolling Stones have once again granted retail chain Best Buy an exclusive agreement for the initial release of The Biggest Bang, a new four DVD presentation that chronicles multiple Rolling Stones performances from the still-in-progress A Bigger Bang World Tour.

The Biggest Bang was released for distribution in the U.S.A. on Tuesday, June 12, 2007. The new DVD packages four full length features, including two separate Rolling Stones concert presentations and a bevy of bonus live material that includes extra tracks on three of the individual DVDs.

The Biggest Bang on DVD follows A Bigger Bang issued by the Stones on CD in September 2005. Four Flicks was a live Stones DVD released November 2003, after Forty Licks on CD in September 2002. Unlike the previous Four Flicks DVD, neither the Rolling Stones nor Best Buy hosted a promotional media party.

This second extensive DVD collection boasts several Stones classics previously unavailable live. Disc 1 presents the Stones on stage in concert at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas, from October 22, 2006. Included as a bonus treat is the Stones rehearsing "I Can't Be Satisfied" in Milan. Disc 2 presents another live performance broadcast on February 18, 2006, at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Disc 3 highlights a cross section of live performances from Japan, China and Argentina; along with four musical duets: Bonnie Raitt on "Shine A Light", Eddie Vedder on "Wild Horses", Dave Matthews on "Let It Bleed", and Cui Jian on "Wild Horses". Disc 4 showcases "Salt Of The Earth", A Bigger Bang Tour Documentary. Added bonus material features two raw Stones jams from their intimate 2005 Toronto club date.

Hardcore Rolling Stones fans should find several live gems scattered within this action-packed DVD. Still, the collection tends to rely heavily on similar songs that the Stones have already released on previous live product. Truthfully, you can't always get what you want, but after 45 years on the road, this British Institution remains a powerhouse on the international concert circuit.
